I have six kids -- four at home, 2 in college -- and at least 4 have AS. So, life's always interesting here, to say the least. But I totally sympathize. I used to be a morning person; could hardly keep my eyes open past dark in the evenings. Now I am up late (working on STUFF), and can't wake up in the mornings....But I am perpetually "behind" on every project. I am learning to let some of it go. The kids are reading, writing, doing math, music, history, science, etc. in REAL LIFE most of the time anyway. Take a breath. Learning happens whether you stress about it or not! In the evenings, I...I have a lazy/tired issue too. In the evenings, I just want to veg out. I don't go to bed, either, which is worse... staying up til midnight and not getting much done in the meantime! I do spend lots of that evening time on the computer, researching school stuff and maybe printing stuff and making plans... but then the follow-through isn't always there in the daytime. I am too lazy to get up early, too. ;-P I did take a survey at a homeschool conference workshop recently that was about personality types, and I found that I am "phlegmatic" meaning laid back, not making waves, and not easy to motivate. Knowing that at least helped me work with it better, and I have been trying to make sure school gets started by 9 every morning, because that helps the day go more smoothly. Of course, once I have this baby in a couple weeks, everything will probably fall apart for quite awhile...Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05029296444906951529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32629830.post-18180504570902907752011-08-16T09:24:26.596-04:002011-08-16T09:24:26.596-04:00Getting up early for sure. I'm just too tired ...Getting up early for sure. I'm just too tired at the end of the day and I really love that time when all the kids are in bed and I get to sit with hubby and watch tv or *ahem* something.

Of course, I'm lazy too so even though I can get up early, I don't always do it. It doesn't help that hubby is a night owl and frankly I just cannot keep up with him. I hit a pregnancy wall and *BAM* I'm asleep.

Early. Get up early. Early enough to have your coffee, pray and go for a walk All By Yourself. When I follow my own advice, I find I have the energy to get those other things done during the day. During Quiet Time or just before dinner.entropynoreply@blogger.com
